Believe

I jotted this down on the plane home from England today. It isn't about anyone in particular, it could apply to many different people I'm connected to.

Believe

I wish you could believe in yourself
Just to see you, as I see you
Nothing but dreams coming true
Wishing the very best for you

I wish you could see the glass half full
Or runneth over, like my love
On a spring day, wouldn't that be enough?

I wish you could just believe
You have a purpose, or something
You want so desperately to achieve

For you deserve the very best
After what you've been through
Nothing but the bluest skies & sunshine
Would be good enough for someone like you

I wish you could see the light
Throughout the long and lonely night
That I could reach out and touch your eyes
And bring back your sight, I wish I could

I wish you could just believe in yourself
As others do
Unlock the door and simply walk on through

Just believe.

Very sweet and uplifting, and not at all "blue"...

More like "blue-sky" -- all possibilities possible. :-)

    Thanks for sharing.

    - Lucy. (I never knew your blog address before!)

P.S. I've been reading Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way and am being totally encouraged by it as well.

Have you read it? If not, I highly, highly recommend it to you, or to anyone.

We can all use the advice she gives us, no matter how long we've been using (or trying to use) our creative artistic muscle.

Just to see you as I see you

this is the most important thing that we can take away from this lyric/poem

there is aloways someone out there who loves us, cares for us, thinks we are beautiful, thinks we are kind.... even when we do not see it or realize it

    loverly!
